Position Overview

Supervises the activities of production personnel and all aspects of the manufacturing process.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assist in facilitating production schedule.

  • Assist with staff training.

  • Assist in equipment set up and maintenance.

  • Able to perform basic setup and operate all equipment in production

  • Follows GMP standards, SOP’s, Food Safety Standards as well as workplace safety standards.

  • Communicate with supervision/management regarding production, personnel, and quality control issues.

  • Coordinate orders and staging.

  • Establishes goals, evaluates and documents performance of production staff.

  • Work with other departments to improve efficiency of the manufacturing process.

  • Able to perform daily production functions with limited supervision

  • Meets daily goals set by Production Manager

  • Communicate with management regarding production, personnel, and quality control issues.

  • Coordinate orders and staging.

  • Work with other departments to improve efficiency of the manufacturing process.

  • Take direction from the Production Manager.

  • Performs accurate weights, measures and quality checks

  • Accurately complete all paperwork, neatly and correctly

  • Fills in for Production Manager as needed

  • Cleans and maintains assigned work area and equipment

  • Exceptional attendance & punctuality

  • Displays positive attitude; teamwork

  • Able to follow directions and attention to detail

  • Willingness to assist in any area as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 to 75 lbs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • College coursework preferred

  • Minimum 2 years production experience.

  • Basic math and computer skills.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Certification such as CQM, CQE, CQA and/or Six Sigma Black or Green Belt preferred.

  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs to 75 lbs.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is predominantly a highly active in movement role. The job would also require the ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
