Position Overview
The Sr. Events Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of event planning and execution across Designs for Health and related subdivisions and brands. This role will lead the event planning process, work with key stakeholders, and collaborate closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure that all events (live and virtual) achieve their objectives.
Essential Job Duties
- Lead all aspects of the event process including building events strategy, budgeting, content planning, day of execution, after-action assessments, process improvement, and reporting for all company events
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner and essential resource to key stakeholders across the organization for all event related initiatives, to ensure alignment with business-level goals, expectations, and budget
- Lead large live event planning, as well as smaller industry events, virtual events, and other internal event initiatives from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives set to achieve near and long-term business goals
- Identify opportunities to develop and improve processes to enhance efficiency in company event planning and event execution processes
- Produce and manage budgets for the events, ensuring that all planned events are effective while staying on budget to obtain desired revenue objectives
- Oversee, report, and analyze event executions, report on relevant KPIs including event ROI
- Partner with the Marketing department to develop and maintain SOPs for event selection, participation, logistics and execution, to ensure the accuracy of DFH’s Event Playbooks
- Hold prep meetings with all necessary team members ahead of the events to ensure all required tasks are on track and prepare for any needed changes to the plan.
- Work with the wider marketing and marketing operations and communication team to orchestrate event content creation that align with event objectives
- Perform after-action analysis and process improvement to increase the operational effectiveness of each event, both from the attendee experience and internal team performance
- Provide strategic input and recommendations to business groups on event development
- Manage relationships with key event vendors, including potentially managing leading and coordinating with Event Sponsors
- Oversee and manage the DFH master events calendar
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of proven work experience in Event planning and management
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to interact and negotiate at executive level
- Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing external suppliers including venues, event managers and contractors
